Venly released their Shopify NFT minting tool on Polygon

Avalanche is now supported by Venly's NFT Marketplace and Wallet.

Avalanche is now supported by Venly's Shopify NFT minting software, a blockchain technology company. The layer-1 blockchain platform, which is marketed as a quicker and more affordable substitute for the leading NFT network Ethereum, is now accessible to all Shopify merchants. Previously, it was only available to a select number of customers.

According to Venly, purchasers of NFTs won't be required to use cryptocurrencies or already have an Avalanche wallet. Users can instead pay using fiat money (like as a credit card) and then get a link to a newly created Avalanche wallet that contains the newly created NFT, which they can then move elsewhere if they so desire.

Venly, a 2018 startup that also offers blockchain wallet solutions, is one of many blockchain app partners in the Shopify ecosystem. Other partners have previously provided users with tools to mint NFTs on blockchain systems like Ethereum and Flow.

In addition, in October 2018, Tacco App and Tezos blockchain collaborated to provide users with access to Tezos non-fungible tokens (NFTs) via Taco's NFT loyalty program. Taco app plugins are used by e-commerce systems like Shopify to offer these services to their merchants. Brands may incorporate Web3 tools like NFTs to increase consumer involvement thanks to the Taco app.

I believe it's one of the biggest evolutions [for NFTs] where this can be taken to a mass market…, and you don't need to understand the necessity of crypto to make the purchase, said Dierckxsens in a statement.

Other conceivable use cases include giving NFT token-gated experiences, selling NFT collectibles via Venly, and attaching NFTs to physical items for authentication. Additionally, according to Dierckxsens, there are several opportunities for producers and artists to sell NFTs on social networking sites that connect to or communicate with Shopify stores.

“Our growing blockchain ecosystem demonstrates our commitment to supporting merchants as they sell NFTs directly through their storefronts, helping to further grow participation in Web3 and expand what’s possible in commerce,” said Shopify Blockchain Ecosystem Lead Christina Lomazzo in a statement.

Venly released their Shopify NFT minting tool on Polygon, the Ethereum scaling network, in late 2021. According to Dierckxsens, Venly will eventually support NFTs made with Hedera and the Ethereum scaling network Immutable X. The second network to acquire support is Avalanche.
