The limited-edition NFTs are for sale on the Magic Eden marketplace.

Aston Martin, a luxury automaker, has entered the Web3 market for the first time with the release of its first batch of NFTs this week.

For the 3000 "digital diecast" Aston Martin NFTs, the storied British racing company has partnered with Tiny Digital Factory, a creator and distributor of racing and motorsport games.

On the Polygon blockchain, the limited-edition NFTs are for sale on the Magic Eden marketplace. The best part is that fans will be able to purchase them and compete in races in the upcoming Infinite Drive metaverse game.

For a small set of whitelisted players, the marketplace begins on December 18; general sales begin for everyone else on December 19.
Aston Martin and Tiny Digital Factory collaborate to introduce NFTs

The most recent automaker to enter the NFT market is the luxury sports vehicle manufacturer Aston Martin. The British F1 brand has adopted digital ownership made possible by NFTs, following Lamborghini, Porsche, and Chevrolet.

As a result of the collaboration with the NFT racing platform's creators Tiny Digital Factory, three new Aston Martin vehicles will be added to the game Infinite Drive. Users can utilize this platform to acquire parts from prominent automakers.

The 1980 Vantage V8, the GT3 race car, and the iconic Vantage V8 from the 1980 James Bond film The Living Daylights are the three Aston Martins.

The NFTs have been created to visually resemble the real autos. The closed alpha of the Infinite Drive metaverse, which will be accessible on both iOS and Android mobile devices in 2023, will allow owners of the virtual Aston Martin to drive the vehicle there.

Owners of NFTs can browse their collections and compete with other NFT owners on tracks that have been authorized in the alpha. Owners will be able to rent out their vehicles to other players through an NFT marketplace, which is one of the in-game features.

The partnership's introduction, according to Tiny Digital Factory CEO Stéphane Baudet, is in line with the business's mission to give the general population the chance to "feel the thrill of bringing them into the track."

It's very amazing that this concept has struck such a chord with Aston Martin, one of the top automakers in the world, said Baudet. They believe in us so highly that they have decided to launch their first NFT automobiles with us. Although we have only begun, we have no doubt that Infinite Drive will become a model for the useful application of web3 technology in games and collecting digital assets.

Luxury automakers are rushing into the NFT and metaverse spaces

The newest premium automaker to enter the NFT market is Aston Martin. However, not all of them have been a huge success, with Chevrolet failing to sell any NFTs at its auction. Lamborghini has used NFTs in a couple of its attempts, with varying degrees of success. All eyes are on the race track to see which NFTs leave the rivals in the paddock since Aston Martin is due to launch soon and Porsche is expected to follow suit.
