Five NFT & Metaverse trademark applications have been submitted by Mercedes-Benz.

German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has submitted five trademark applications related to the metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The December 14th trademark filings encompass a wide spectrum of Web3-related content, including NFT-backed media, cryptocurrency trading, and virtual goods.

The automaker plans to provide virtual goods in the metaverse of its choice, as well as maybe opening a virtual goods store there. It might sell digital products like smartwatches, sports gear, smartwatches, hats, sunglasses, and clothing. Additionally, it might offer digital auto parts.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, G-Class, and Maybach car lines are among the five trademark applications. The news was initially announced via a tweet on December 19 by Mike Kondoudis, a trademark attorney who frequently posts information about Web3 trademark applications in the United States. Therefore, as suggested by the applications' content, Mercedes-Benz might be interested in developing its own cryptocurrency.

Merecedes has already entered the Web3 and non-fungible token (NFT) markets. A special Mercedes-Benz NFT collection inspired by the G-Class automobile line was released in January as a result of the company's collaboration with "Art2People."

Mercedes-trademark Benz's applications demonstrate that despite the current crypto winter, businesses and significant brands are still using Web3. Although we'll have to wait and see what it plans to do with the applications, success appears highly likely given the company's track record.
