MMORPG is being developed by the designers of well-known video games like Far Cry and Diablo

To power a forthcoming Web3 MMORPG, Metaverse Game Studios has announced a cooperation with ImmutableX.

A brand-new Web3 MMORPG is being developed by the designers of well-known video games like Far Cry and Diablo Immortal using blockchain technology.

Independent game company Metaverse Game Studios has teamed up with Web3 development platform ImmutableX to continue developing Angelic, with a team of programmers working on many AAA projects.

The following game, characterized as a narrative strategy RPG with a dark science fiction premise and turn-based combat, is powered by Unreal Engine 5. A story-driven single-player campaign and a free-to-play multiplayer metaverse are two options that are proposed to players looking for a AAA-level Web3 gaming experience.

ImmutableX's full-stack gaming platform will power nonfungible tokens (NFTs), which are virtual collectibles that players may own and are based on Ethereum. Additionally, Angelic is "chain agnostic," according to the developers, which means that digital assets will be hosted off-chain and function with other blockchain networks.

Angelic seeks to serve both Web2 and Web3 consumers by providing a "collaborate-to-earn" product. This will make it possible for users to own in-game items and take part in the game's growth in the future. In addition, Metaverse Game Studios and ImmutableX will give incentives to Angelic community members for their contributions to the game's world.

ImmutableX was recognized as a key component in the delivery of the Web3 functionality by Anastasia Volgemut, the director of operations at Metaverse Games Studios, in a statement that read:

By leveraging ImmutableX, our users can tap into the benefits of fast, secure, and gas-free minting and an uninterrupted, quality gaming experience.

Angelic will commence alpha testing in January 2023 with a select set of partners and community members, followed by a public launch in February. Players will then be able to trade in-game NFTs they had previously acquired from the early access edition in the game's PvP mode.

The $10 million seed fundraising round for Metaverse Game Studios was headed by Animoca Brands, Pantera Capital, and Everyrealm in March 2022.
